Anne, Bev, Leslie (ABLe)
I have been a Registered Nurse for 28 years and have worked in both the hospital and community settings.
Over the past 20 years my health care focus has been in the area of rehabilitation, health teaching and injury prevention.
I am excited that our recent partnership with the Red Cross is allowing me to provide education in my community, and make Thunder Bay a safer place to live, work and play..
Certified Instructor and Registered Nurse. I have worked as a Registered Nurse in Thunder Bay for 28 years.
My hospital based nursing experience focused on providing care for acute cardiac conditions, which included formal education on cardiac disease management and prevention to patients and families. My experience also included care and recovery of orthopaedic injuries.
I have spent the last 20 years of my career in community based Occupational Health and Safety. My most recent 5 years in this field has focused on overseeing and administering injury management plans for acute and chronic occupational injuries. This has provided me a unique perspective on the financial and social importance of ensuring high quality first aid/CPR skills for a healthy workplace environment.
Certified Instructor and Registered Nurse. My 30 years as a Registered Nurse has allowed me to initially travel and work in the United States. I then returned to Thunder Bay and continued my nursing career.
During my extensive nursing experience I have provided care to newborns, children and adults with acute and chronic injuries and illnesses. I have worked in both hospital and home care settings with a strong emphasis on providing education, promoting wellness and injury/disease prevention.
The past 20 years I have focused on assessment, health education and development of injury management plans for acute and chronic conditions for a variety of Occupational Health and Safety environments.
